MyBudget

When organizing a monthly budget, it is more efficient if you view your income and expenses in a table. A better way is to use specialized software to illustrate and calculate your expenses, but most of them have confusing interfaces and options that are difficult to understand. This is not the case with MyBudget. It has a user friendly interface and its functions are very straightforward. You just need to specify your income and expenses and the application will do the rest.

MyBudget comes in a 2.82 MB package. The setup wizard will guide you through a number of stages which involve basic options for selecting a destination folder or shortcuts. It works on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 and it requires .NET Framework 3.5 or higher in order to function correctly.

The program lets you create different budgets, for each month, and select them from a drop menu. The interface displays a table of contents, where you can insert your expenses by clicking a button next to this table. When you insert a new row, you may type in the name of the expense, the sum and a short note. If you specify your income, the software will automatically calculate the total expenses, as well as your shortfall or surplus.

When you are done, you may click a button to save the selected budget. In addition, the software can export your budget as an Excel spreadsheet. Security is another feature of MyBudget. When you launch the application, you will have to create a user account, a password and a security question. It is possible to create multiple user accounts and select one from a drop menu, on the sign in window.

It should be mentioned that MyBudget's interface is very well designed. The buttons are large, colored and shiny and you may select various background images for the main interface. You can find various high resolution images, from sunsets to cloudy landscapes.
